Taka is the reincarnation of Tamahome in Miaka's world. He has a faint memory of being a seishi in another life and of protecting Miaka, but other than that he has no memory of his previous life. To regain his memory, he must collect seven orbs of memory from each of the other seishi, alive or dead. If he does not, he will cease to exist as Taka in the real world.
